“Le Cucine d’Italia” A Journey through the Regional kitchens of Italy.. La Toscana

This month we travel south-west from the Veneto and into Tuscany, a region dominated by it’s beautiful countryside reminiscant of the landscapes of Renaissance masterpieces.  Tuscany conjures up images and memories of idyllic holidays, travelling the rolling valleys up and down, to and fro the sleepy, unspoilt hill top towns.  Names like San Gimignano, Lucca Pienza and Montepulciano take many of us back to happy times spent eating hearty meals in humble, family trattorie.
